Mission Statement

For the Institute of Governance Studies, the concept of governance is best defined as the total of the institutions and processes by which society orders and conducts its collective or common affairs.IGS’ vision is ‘for the government of Bangladesh to enact and implement national policies that result in the improved well-being of the citizens of Bangladesh’, or more briefly, ‘improved well-being through good governance.’
IGS’s mission is ‘to identify, promote and support effective, transparent, accountable, equitable and citizen-friendly government in Bangladesh and South Asia.’IGS’ motto is ‘Bringing Value to Public Life’.
