MAGD, Batch III
Overseas Trip
Students of Batch III of the MAGD Programme are on a visit to South Korea and Malaysia from 16 to 31 August 2009. Professor Dr. Emdadul Haq, MAGD Programme Coordinator, is accompanying the students during the tour. The study tour team will visit South Korea from 16 to 22 August 2009 and Malaysia from 22 to 31 August 2009. The team will attend sessions on economic development and governance issues of South Korea and Malaysia. In South Korea, academic sessions will be addressed by scholars from KDI School of Public Policy and Management while in Malaysia by scholars from the Institute of Professional Development under Open University of Malaysia. Besides academic sessions, the team will visit places of economic development and public administration interest in both the countries. The MAGD study tour team is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on 1 September 2009.
MAGD, Batch II
Overseas Trip
Students of Batch II of the MAGD Programme visited South Korea and China from 11 November to 1 December 2007. Dr. Rizwan Khair, Programme Coordinator, was with the students during the tour. The study tour team visited South Korea from 11 to 24 November 2007. In South Korea, they attended a series of sessions on economic development and governance issues of South Korea delivered by scholars from KDI School of Public Policy and Management, and Yonsei University. Besides academic sessions, the team visited places of economic development and public administration interest in South Korea. From 24 November to 1 December the team visited Sichuan Province of the People's Republic of China. The International Affairs Office of Sichuan University made necessary arrangement for the tour in China. The team returned to Bangladesh on 1 December 2007. On their returning the students made a presentation on their learning in South Korea and China where Mr. Md. Abdus Salam Khan, Secretary, Ministry of Establishment and Her Excellency Bea Ten Tusscher, Ambassador, Royal Netherlands Embassy, Dhaka were present.
