Parliamentary Program

The key objective of parliamentary program of the Institute is to develop sustainable and locally-owned parliamentary resources for building the capacity of Bangladesh Jatiya Sangshad (National Assembly). In the way of fulfilling the objective the Institute developed training modules on parliamentary oversight that have been utilized by World Bank Institute and (WBI) and Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) to increase the capacity of Parliament. The Institute has also produced briefing materials on the management of the national budget and monitoring of government expenses that can be utilized by MPs and the parliament secretariat. The Institute is planning to conduct an internal and external needs assessment to determine more specifically the program objectives.
